Here’s a recent project we’re proud of: a temporary roof scaffold installation in Harlow, erected to support full refurbishment works on a residential property.
The challenge with this kind of project is simple — refurbishment works can’t stop because the weather turns. Stripping roofs, repairing structures, or carrying out external works on an exposed property in the British climate means you need a plan for rain, wind, and everything else the weather throws at you. That’s exactly what a fully sheeted temporary roof system provides.
We designed and erected a scaffold structure that completely encloses the roof zone with heavy-duty sheeting, creating a weatherproof environment underneath. Operatives can work in dry, safe conditions regardless of what’s happening outside. No weather delays, no water ingress risk to the property during works, and no pressure to rush critical stages of the refurbishment before the next downpour.
Equally important on this project was the protected access below. Where refurbishment works are ongoing above, the ground level below needs to be kept safe for anyone passing through or working nearby. Our structure incorporated a fully protected walkway beneath the scaffold, ensuring safe passage throughout the duration of the project. It’s a detail that matters — both for safety compliance and for the day-to-day management of a live site.
